ASPIRE stands for the Activity Specialization Research Injury Endeavor. This project aims to understand the types of sports and activities children aged 5 and older engage in, how often they participate, and whether their involvement is competitive, structured, recreational, or casual. Key goals include identifying injuries affecting participation, examining the timing of sport specialization, and exploring the relationship between sport specialization and injury occurrence. Through these efforts, ASPIRE seeks to gain valuable insights into children's health and development in relation to their participation in activities.
